Ricky Ponting seems to be getting better and better for the big Boxing Day Test on Melbourne, his chances of leading Australia appears strong as he batted in the nets without any signs of pain in his left elbow.Australia will wait to see how much Ponting can recover till Christmas before selecting him for the test match against Pakistan.
Ponting was injured in the 2nd innings of 3rd test match against West Indies. He batted for the 1st time after the injury in the nets and it seems like that he will make it to the final eleven but Australia and Ponting cannot take any kind of a risk so they are waiting for the injury to be fully recovered.
